Creative workshops are all the rage these days, and I must admit, I am obsessed with them! I have been wanting to learn how to make flower arrangements for a long time, so when I heard that one of our local florists was having a mother’s day class, I decided it would be the perfect gift for my momma. After I took the class and created an arrangement I was proud of, it gave me a little bit of courage to go home and try it on my own. I went to our local wholesale flower market and picked out some of my favorite flowers and greenery. The photos below show each step that I took to get to my final product. I think the key is to make sure you get a variety of flowers and color. I ended up adding in a few peonies I had at the house because I felt like my arrangement needed something else to bring it all together. I purchased $35 worth of flowers and was able to make four arrangements. Not too shabby! If you have a wholesale flower shop in your city, that is definitely the way to go. Many wholesale florists do not require that you have a wholesale license, so you’ll be able to load up on lots of pretty flowers for a fraction of what you would pay anywhere else.
